No Failure, Only Feedback

Hello Everyone!

Whether it is in sports or in life, you have to remember that there is no failure, only feedback. (think answers)

  • You miss an important shot. It is not failure, but feedback to set your feet better.
  • You miss a clean in the weight room. It is not failure, but feedback that you didn't get your elbows through.
  • You didn't make the team. It is not failure, but feedback that you need to get faster.
  • You lost your starting spot. It is not failure, but feedback that your teammate is doing a better job of the details.

Take the attitude of feedback over failure. Each setback can actually be a step forward to a better you - if you let it.

Everyday at AGSP our athletes get feedback. Our coaches provide the answers our athletes need to take their athletic ability to the next level.

It is not how you start, but how you finish

Hello Everyone!

When something is new and exciting it is easy to get up and put good energy towards it. Whether it is the opening kickoff, the first day of school, a new job, a new workout routine, a new years resolution...the beginning, the start, is often a powerful time in our lives.

Yet, it is not how you start, but how you finish that matters most.
  • Everyone remembers the last seconds of the game, not your great assist in the second quarter.
  • Everyone remembers the goals you accomplished, not the good intentions towards goals you never accomplished.
  • Everyone remembers the last thing you say, not the countless words said earlier.
  • Your coach remembers how you finished (good or bad).
  • Your teammates remember how you finished, or failed to finish.

Memorable moments, powerful moments are in the finishes of life.

At AGSP we emphasize finishing what our athletes start. Whether it is the last few reps of squats, the final push to improve their speed, or the final moments of the day's training session. We want our athletes to finish strong.
What was the last thing you finished strong? For many athletes, right now it is time to finish the school year strong!
